There is a simple method to achieve a state in which you feel yourself and the object you're watching as one; and to do this correctly means that you should fully realize the object: ie, this practice is not about just turning off the left hemisphere.
Begin by working on Mu, as I already described, follow your breath until you get the feeling of being exactly at the present moment (as if your were surfing a wave), and don't forget that you have to feel like being an immovable centre. Now looking at some object, tell yourself 'I am time', and you'll see that the object is made of the same substance as you: that you are both made of time.
PS In theory, it'd be better to say 'I am space-time', but for me it works in a simplified version, without 'space': just 'I am time'. :-D
